NATASSA BOFILIOU

"UP TO THE END" and not only ...

Natassa Bofiliou was born in Athens in 1983. She is currently studing Political Science at the University of Athens. She has studied classical piano and Music Principles at the Greek Conservatoire with soloist Costas Drosoulakis. She has graduated (in just eight months) from the Modern Singing class at the "Philippos Nakas" Conservatoire. She is continuing her voice studies with Elli Paspala at the "Philippos Nakas" Conservatoire whilst taking jazz piano lessons by Yiorgos Psihogios.

Her initial music label appearance was in 2004 with the CD "Mikri Arktos Second Audition", where she rendered the songs "Aspirini" (by Gerasimos Evagelatos & Kostas Tsirkas) and "Pios kserei" (by Maria Polydouri & M. Selitsaniotis).

Her first individual record (2005), an interaction with the new artists Gerasimos Evagelatos (lyrics) and Kostas Tsirkas (music) entitled "100 Mikres Anases" ("100 short breaths"), introduces Natassa as one of the most promising voices of her generation.

In 2006, she was given two songs by Stamatis Kraounakis that were used as the soundtrack of "Pethainontas stin Athina" ("Dying in Athens") a feature film by Nikos Panayiotopoulos.

In March 2007, following the release of the CD "En Lefko" with two songs by Gerasimos Evagelatos and music by Themis Karamouratidis, she swoops in the springtime with live performances at "IANOS" bookstore in a programme arranged by the same two artists.

In July 2007, whilst at 21st Ymittos Festival at the Quarry, Natassa pairs up with the singer and songwriter Aphrodite Manou in a much praised by audience and journalists concert.

Her latest recording in lyrics by Gerasimos Evagelatos and music by Themis Karamouratidis is titled "Mehri to Telos" and released in March 2008 under the Mikri Arktos label.
